Wishing Well

Contributed by dreamer_for_eternity on Wednesday, 2nd April 2008 @ 03:57:18 AM in AEST
Topic: selfstruggles

Each time we run into each other
You see my half-hearted grin
No thought passes in your mind
To ask me how I’ve been.

Each day we speak less and less
You love her more and more
Each day I live less and less
Losing focus on what I’m fighting for.

Each time I’ve reached out my hand
I know that I am too late
She is already holding yours
I was no reason for you to wait.

Each day I have this desire to know you
To hold you and forget the past
Always wanting what I cannot have
I’ve learned that chances never do last.

Each time I see you with that smile
That you’ve been wearing lately
I know that it is from somebody else
And honestly, that drives me crazy.

Each memory I have of you
How much they mean to me is hard to tell
But I am not the one you chose
And for that, I wish you well.

It's hard to see someone happy knowing that you want so much to be the source of their happiness. Takes courage to wish them well. Good write. Thoughtful and well felt

Good writing. I enjoyed reading this. It is hard to see someone that you have strong feelings for, happy with another. Many times, it is best to move on, to find your own happiness. Again, excellant writing.
