Legacy

Contributed by LoveStruck_Hippie on Wednesday, 2nd April 2008 @ 03:27:03 AM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

Inside I rage
My voice longs to scream out
But at each turn it is silenced
Silenced by fear
My heart aches
My soul bare and bleeding
Wishing
Wanting you to pull me near
But
Your touch all too often
Cold and Empty
A temporary fix
To what pains me
In the depths of all that I am
I am ALONE
Forever rejected by your heart
The world has grown cold and dark
I have begun to wish for death
An end to the pain I feel inside
An end to the hollow space
Where my heart was once filled
With joy, hope and love
It beat endlessly for you and you alone
My love undying, eternal
Now lay in the wasteland of your lies
Beaten and broken
It dies a little more each day
My will to live dying
With each faltering beat
As my blood spills out
From carefully crafted lacerations
Fashioned to empty all hopes and dreams
To drain a devoted soul of all its light

This my love is your
Legacy!

Some where in there I found my will to live in my writing.
Peace out friend and know that I'm jus a pm away.
God bless you-n-yours.
big luv, huggs, faith, hope, joy, peace, will 2 keep on keepin on.

Wow, that is incredibly sad. You definitely make me feel the pain. Great writing, Shannon....and scary. Yes, the dark parts are sad and frightening...especially losing the will to live. :-(

So painfull! So Shattering! So Devestating! So beautifully and emotionally written.
From the ashes of Love, there Love springs anew.
So Look to the future and Glory in a new love found.

Sometimes the best writes come from the worst feelings, though that is little compensation for the pain. Raw, angry and beautiful.

It's amazing that something inside you can be so beautiful
Yet we need that special someone to complete us
this was a true to life write
for all your words struck nerves to make me know I'm alive
simply splendid
