To Be Here With You

Contributed by ZiggyB on Monday, 31st March 2008 @ 09:59:53 PM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

If you could see me now,
in this moment of solitude.
Would you know what’s on my mind?
Could you see what’s in my heart?
Perhaps you just might.

It’s through your eyes,
that these depths unfold.
Transparent is lent the soul,
as consciousness is redefined.
But stand not in fear.

In this dream of dreams nothing is lost.
For it holds within an emotional element,
that is forever suspended in the purest of form.
And in this moment of aberration I ask,
am I making any sense?

This brings rise to the question of balance.
What is the cost to retain it?
Or better yet,
what are we willing to pay?
For the two are not always one and the same.

You’ve awakened in me that element,
that has long lain near dormant.
And like the sudden acquisition of super powers,
the senses have been renewed.
With this comes a feeling of being alive.

Fate has allotted this window in time,
where the fantasy melds to reality.
But why now and why not?
For it owes me no answer.
The need is only to know it’s real.

Could it be that this is more for you,
than was ever meant for me?
Who am I to say?
But I harbor the perception,
that I was born for this moment.

I’ve waited all my life for this.
To be here.
To be here now.
To be here with you.
And…

It is beautiful for I felt the emotions within me. Accept the moment and cry in victory for the moment can never return.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
