Coach Solomon's Dance of Life

Coach Solomon's "Dance of Life"

All you got’s
this one shot, son.
Ain’t no such thang
as second chance.
It ain’t even ‘bout
th’ steps you make,
what matters most is…

“How’d you dance?”

Ya see, life ‘z
like a ballroom,
an’ th’ floor
it’s always full,
but’cha cain’t jus’ sway
‘long with th’ others,
ya gotta feel
th’ music’s pull.

Cuz th’ tempo’s
always changin’
an’ th’ rhythm,
whull, it does too.
‘n if yer jus’ goin’
through the motions,
boy, ‘n you ain’t
a dancin’ true.

Ya gotta kick ’em heels
up a bit,
an’ step lively
what ev’r th’ tune.
Don’cha fall in line
like all th’ rest,
ya gotta spin ‘round
swing, an’ swoon.

Don’ jus’ let
th’ music move ya,
grab hold tight
that melody,
an’ feed it through
them back beats,
every ounce
a’ yer energy.

An ‘fore ya know it
you’ll soon find
th’ band’ll be
a’followin’ you.
An’ when you dance
like no-one’s watchin’ boy,

‘at’s when
yer dancin’

true.

Very Nice

always, Abraham

(I'd say more, but I'm busy as usual, and I have to post at least one more comment)

as one who follows the music...I absolutely love this...a tune of its own allowing me the flow of the music...as if one is never right without the other..a grand write..simply smooth, directly instructional and correct. The rule of dance. Hugs ND
