She

Contributed by NoSaint on Saturday, 29th March 2008 @ 01:29:24 PM in AEST
Topic: oops

On the breath of angels wings
With the sacred wind she sings
Born of sparkling night skies
Dashing and gone like fireflies

Timeless is her beauty and grace
Roses and lilies adorn her face
Moments like crystal dew at dawn
Memories come than move on

Hope eternally from her flows
As the sun on water glows
Passion lives in her eyes
Like the tide quickly subsides

Who is this woman of mystery?
Is she immortalized in history?
No, she lives only in his dreams
Passing like the water in raging streams

How he longs to hold her close
And of her drug take another dose
But with the morn she is gone
Flitting by then moving on

I thought this was excellent. Your rhyme scheme was pretty solid, and you captured a beauty here that I haven't read in poetry for a little while. Well done.

Wow Shari,
This is just beautiful. Every line is like floating
on a cloud.
