A new dawn approaches, and I cannot bear to sleep without you. I lie in a lonely bed and try to imagine you, but I cannot remember how it was that I knew you, or how your eyes folded in the echoes of our love.
It is as if I never knew you, or that I once had a dream of you, and like the end of all dreams, after I woke you continued on, leaving behind a vague reflection and a still, defeated heart searching curiously for the source of its renewal.
Had I known you—or if you had not fallen from memory, or if I had envisioned you in my dreams—my eyes would stretch for miles to conceive you, my hands would find you, my heart would open for you as a flower opens to the start of a light rain, and I would come to love you.
However, it is come that I do not know you or that I know only the absence of your kiss—or how the moon might dream you, a single star—or the strange sensation of laughter drawing old tears at the verge of sleep.

I could go on and on about this. A melody of love strewn across the page with touches of soft embraces and memories......
The parts about sleeping and waking alone... that moved me deeply... That in itself is a poetic verse when you know of that feeling...
my heart would open for you as a flower opens to the start of a light rain........... GOD!! Beautiful!!
