i have seen the oddest thing
that any teenage girl should ever dream of
i have seen my own grandmother
she was in a hospital
and i was the nurse who cleaned her up
that she was in so much pain that
it was not funny
i mean the more you kept turning her
the more pain she felt
so i was just wonder
have you ever had that moment
when your elder is sitting right there
being in so much pain
that you wish that there is something that you can do for them
i have around her for all my life
she was like a mom to the whole town
and she was a strong, proud woman
she was, and she was so happy
no matter what happens in life around her
she always though of the positive side of things
no matter what
so this poem is for my lovable grandma
Annie Bell Embrey
you will always be that lovable woman
of our fine town
