An Angel's Heart

There’s something deep inside of me
It pulls and twists, preventing me of flying free
A deep, painful longing for an escape
But my heart remains bound with dark black tape
My wings are broken, battered, and torn
In this body I feel hopeless, lost, forlorn
A deep longing, an urge, to forever leave this place
During these dark thoughts, another me shows her face
Angered by the twists and turns that is her fate
My innocence has long since past
The sweet kindness, I know it won’t last
I’m fighting the changes, I don’t want to be bad
But I can’t help but to feel so sad
Is my life just a game to them all?
What monsters would laugh and watch me fall?
Who would be so cruel to try and make me cry?
And why do they wish for me to die?
Pain really does hurt when it’s all you ever feel
When you break an angel’s heart, it will never ever heal

this is a very well expressed write on sadness. i can definately feel the sadness in this .. it was well written.
