River wild

Contributed by shelby on Wednesday, 26th March 2008 @ 12:08:20 PM in AEST
Topic: oops

She walked near the rocky edge,
her heart forlorn and filled with dread.
Her tears cascading down the rocks.
Soaking her flowing dark curly locks.

A river wild formed that day.
Through the canyons it made its way
carrying all her hurt inside
where woman and nature did collide.

The legend held fast to this day.
Another young woman to the cliff did stray.
Her tears too flowed wild and free.
In this secret place wild and free.

A river wild formed that day.
Through the canyons it made its way
carrying all her hurts inside
where woman and nature did collide.

Hushed upon the willow wing
across the valleys the birds did sing.
Echo's of the hearts remain
far across yonder plain.

A river wild formed that day.
Through the canyons it made its way
carrying all her hurts inside
where woman and nature did collide.
