Life On Pause.

My life is a life with no purpose or cause
It's like watching a movie with it pressed on pause
Sadness has numbed the motion of my existance
And I'm struggling to overcome and break past the resistance
But it's like swimming against an angry tide
The sorrow seems to drag me down with nowhere to hide
Soaked and submerged in a sea of despair
With each deep breath I let my sadness into the air
Telling myself I can push on through it
Deep down knowing that I just can't do it
It's a losing battle that I fight everday
Under broken rainbows and a sky stained gray
My eyes once filled with life, blue and gleaming
Now carry the reflection of my heart, broken and screaming
A soul left abandoned, slowly dying from within
And the pain that I feel bleeds right through my skin
It's clear to see the agony within my expression
A mere side effect of my fatal depression
But I keep hanging on day after after day
Hoping to overcome the pain...
And unpause this movie called life and let it play.
