Hold on now,
We're a'flyin',
Be home by mornin'
'Cross the 'zure sky.

Child.

Be home to you soon,
Arms wrapped 'round the little body,
Home to you soon,
'Cross the 'zure sky.

Findin' the light,
'Cross that 'zure sky.
Homin' by mornin',
Is my promise to you.

Child.

Promised you we were a'flyin',
'Cross the 'zure sky.
Promised you by mornin',
We'd be home by mornin', child.

I never lie.

We see the light!
'Cross the 'zure sky.
We're a'flyin'!
To be home
By mornin'
As promised
'Cross the 'zure sky.

Child.

We might not be home
By mornin'
Or night.
'Cause the 'zure sky's a'blackenin'
And the light's gone from sight.

But we'll come back,
We'll a'fly and come home.
A promise we made, child.
A promise we'll keep...

'Cross the pitch night sky.
