Fruitless Past

Contributed by Amicus on Tuesday, 18th March 2008 @ 08:46:23 AM in AEST
Topic: LoveRemembered

Starting along a new found path
Constantly aware of failures wrath
Walking with thoughts of doubt and fear
Our hands held tight, should we be here
What of the others left before
Back then did you know what was in store
I had no idea that life would end
Lest believe another would soon begin
Did you think it would end with a cold chill down your back
Sobering you, so you'd see what he lacks
Could you see the sadness that would envelop you
Cold, black, blindness, not knowing what to do
Could you see the peril your heart would be in
No one cares or helps but your kin
My past was filled with trust and hope
After, all my pain, was it possible to cope?
Hope all my cuts and rips are sewn
So my injuries and pain will never be known
To iron out the crease
So my heart may rest in peace
May our hands grip each others
The loving hand of my lover
To forget the past that we don't need
A new germination of a fruitful seed
