Eyes graze, shoulders slide slow. There is a tick tock of hips.
The vibe becomes a bump thump off walls, off lips.
Through soles, through souls.
Threw soul far into the night.
A snicker, a snort for the spine to unwind.
Blue lights dim and distant, lonely strangers designed
To love, to kiss. But mainly this.
The drum beats steady now.
Thighs warm, cheeks cold.
Toes uncurl, knees unfold.
This is forgetting what you’re told.
The heart beats steady now.
Finding life in another’s face
A light, a hand, a fall from grace.
The feature presentation, old stars in a sky.
As words fill in, between hello and goodbye.
