Lips of wrath

Contributed by Phantomvampyress on Sunday, 16th March 2008 @ 06:59:04 AM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

Lips of wrath
attack us all
plotting vengence
seeping through the bloodstream
hating the person in the way

tornado wreck
broken bones
lost homes

rebuild it all
make everything aligned
take away what wrath has left behind

I love how this can have many meanings and we can take from it what we will....... The ending is hopeful and strong, nicely done.

This was brillant. The devistation of the opening leads to the hope of something better and a new start. I agree with Michelle we will take what we will from this poem because it does have various meanings and things it can be related to. Well done.

Take care
Christina

jenni,

Nice one - a good approach to human and natural disasters, given that we can't always avoid them. However, we can cover their tracks with new beauty.

Good poem, Jennitude :-)

I like the way you compare what appears to be a back stabbing rumor rouser to a tornado. Cool. Aaaaand, how the person being attacked was able to get pass that and come back to happiness at the end. Least that is what I got out of it.

Nice,

Timmy
:-)

Jenni ... this was tormenting at first, but then so beautiful
in the end. Hope, like the rays of sun, spill over the entire piece
and create a warmth that floods the heart with light.

Wonderful write, hun. Full of thought and emotion.
