One Year From Death

This is really not a poem but an exclamation of how I know that life is extremely beautiful. Almost a year now has passed since I was dead, but I sit here writing this and loving life. In less that two months, my eyes closed for what was thought was the last time, only to re-open again. One time by my hand, one time by another have I faced death's door. Never was mine intentional, the other whose to know. I believed I could kill the pain of life away, that I could give myself relief but never did I know that only more pain did I cause. One needle, one night, and my life ended, only for a few moments but I was gone. Now revived and reborn, from the pit of hell I have climbed the highest steps and now live on. I hit rock bottom only to be risen up. I realized this one thing, things get better once they get worse. And once you hit rock bottom, only up can you go. Drugs caused my downfall, now they are no more part of me. Just open your eyes and know that life is beautiful!

I know what cha mean. I've died more than once but not from drugs. When you come back you just know God has a reason for bringing you back. |
