This Very Second.

This very second
My head hurts
And I want to cry
I have that nausiated feeling
And part of me wants to just die
So I'm sitting here writing
I guess this is my way of fighting
Battling the depression
Taking a moment to gather myself
Inside this poetic session
Will it help me?
I'm not really sure
For a heart as broken as mine
I'm not sure there's a cure
Everyday I wake up and want to scream
And at night I shut my eyes to escape the world
I don't go to sleep to dream
Because even then the pain haunts me
There's no escape
Nothing seems to set me free
I feel no peace, I get no rest
Nothing soothes this hole in my chest
Not even this poetic session
Because I'm still drowning in my depression...
This very second.

So very relateable. When I wrote my poem "Uneasiness of a loaded gun" I was battling with my depression and my anger. And I still am it has been a couple of weeks now. This is good. Raw and honest and painful but though it might seem to be a futile thing to write when you feel like it does nothing keep doing it. In the long run it does help. Paper listens to what other will not. Paper will not judge or laugh or criticize because paper is just paper and paper just listens. So keep writing and keep venting. And remember you are not alone in this fight so never give up.

Take care
Christina
