Blame

Contributed by althea_kendry on Tuesday, 11th March 2008 @ 07:04:17 AM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

Can you see this?
It's my pain, agony .... hell
Can you remember why?
You left, you walked away
When I need you the most

I had painful news
Which was over-shadowed
By your words,
The obvious war raging with your eyes

But you couldn't see it
The desperation to tell you
To make you understand
The deeper cause of my pain
Your decision, on top of the news
Pushed me over, cracked I became
Unwhole, fiercely hurt
Struggling to continue my breath
You left me for dead
Walked away without a second glance

Did it kill you that day
The way it killed me?
Do you remain unscathed, clueless to all?
And will this ever get easier or better?

I hid that unnerving pain
To be pushed and lost in my mind
To be buried along side
My shattered, devestated heart

If I couldn't talk to you,
The most understanding,
Protective, kind,
Then no one else could know

I became a facade of happines
For everyone to believe
To swallow with eager pleasure
So no one would think to ask

The scars are your reminder
So you will never forget
Do you know this to be true?
Because you should

I did nothing wrong
Nothing to deserve the hell that is my life
But you only gained a glimpse of it
So you will see it now

Yes, my love, yes this is your fault
Ah, finally the blame is properly placed.

Strong words to portray strong emotions.
I can feel the anger spilling out onto the page

I love this. The anger, the emotion...love it. Place that blame.
