Tissue Paper Loyalties

Contributed by sir_odd87 on Monday, 10th March 2008 @ 07:33:52 PM in AEST
Topic: anguished

You both mean so much to me
Just as you did before you started to date
Now you both seem to expect of me
That there should be one of you that I hate

You're mad at her for being selfish
You're mad at him for being afraid
You both expect me to choose your side
But there's something that must be said.

I love you both with all my heart,
And to see you like this tears it in two
The pain involved in a love destroyed
Is what I see when I look at you.

Would love to know how you got the this title! Not a point of view often thought of or expressed. Good write.

Great title, it was the hook that drew me in to the read.
You summed up the frustration of the situation perfectly

Steve
