Bloodless Daze[days]

Contributed by wretched_reflections on Saturday, 8th March 2008 @ 09:26:32 AM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

Sunset can't yield tranquility
Clouds obscure the distant
Sense somewhere between
Memory distorted
Vague has ravaged your scent

So brush the field of daisies
A desperate touch, A taste so sweet
It's almost here
We've cast ourselves into the rebirth

And I've slaughtered all mirth
Just to see
Clearly into the depths of blue
Where the grave lies
That manipulates this purgatory
The faceless silhouette takes another look at these
Masks Shrouds Facades
Realizing that the mirror
Is no more than the shell encasing

The glass has splintered
Lacerations in your perfection
You've coagulated in the time it takes to heal
Rip the wound open and tear out the maggots
Along with the other filth
Drag your ashen corpse back by the entrails
To the empty warmth

Screaming at the nothing
PULSE
With convulsive hearts in convulsive hands
PULSE

So brush the field of daisies
A desperate touch, A taste so sweet
It's almost here
We've cast ourselves into the rebirth

So let this hate dissolve
In our wake and despite
These cynical lies
We have carried through stagnant oceans
And the corpses we've left behind
Sinking into the *****
It's gone I've killed it So let's Revive
This intimate bond
No longer longing but forever
Together in each other's arms

So brush the field of daisies
A desperate touch, A taste so sweet
It's almost here
We've cast ourselves into the rebirth

So sick of this wretched purgatory
To die again just to see an end
Just to begin again
What's left to gain

Brush the field of daisies
A new embryo to be buried
A bloodless seed
Uproot the rotten days
A new embryo to be buried
A bloodless seed.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
