we sit and wait in the darkness

we sit and wait for darkness to fall
waiting for it to consume us all
waiting for everything to turn black
waiting for something to come out and attack
expecting something to give us a fright
I guess all we can do is wait in the darkness of the night

It's funny isnt it , how so many of us are afraid of the dark.I always try and think of it as the sun gone to sleep rather than it being menacing..........maybe Im just odd.
