This beautiful girl I hold in my arms,
This delicate doll that seldom breathes
And the words I've decorated her chamber with
So at night her coffin whispers inanity
While she sleeps the lullabies caress her
But the day always comes too swiftly
And the dreams turn to dislocation.
As she wallows in carelessness
The weak envy her loveliness,
As I wander in loneliness...
Yet I smother self-pity
Then say the words that seduce emptiness
And the lullabies caress such softness
A bit longer.
But the day always comes too swiftly
And the dreams turn to dislocation
As she swallows and conceives amputation.
With jealousy my only excuse
I gag her reasonless cries for mercy
And drag her into the freezing nothing.
ON THE EDGE OF NOTHING
She screams with desperate hands slipping
Those delicate fingers clenching,
Clutching what she once ignored
*****, this is what you deserve.
I gag her reasonless cries for mercy
And push her away,
And push that ***** ***** away.
Who knew such softness could shatter...
