Night owns my heart this moment.
Rain shimmering on dim lights upon the glass.
I wouldn't know what to say, if given half the chance.
Asking for the quiet, relishing in the still.
Calming to the very core,
wind blows hushed through the tree's.
Maybe it is to quiet, I sit and hear the heart.
Feel things that may not be good.
Erase and sift each thought.
Candle light dancing, caught in my gaze.
Shadows upon the walls
half seen through misted haze.
The night has closed around me.
I sit here with just my thoughts
half full glass of wine,
the only sound my heart..............

All of your poetry is so beautiful, though I don't need to tell you that. It envelops the reader and transports them to the world in which you've scribed. Well done as always. |
