We’ve loved with all our hearts…
given it all we’ve got.
A soul connection and burning hearts,
but a love that couldn’t stand the test of time.
There was no turning back the hands of time,
all that we’ve had was fallen apart.
There’s nothing left ,
but fading memories,
of magical moments and star cluttered skies.
We’ve had it all,
you and me,
I really thought you where my destiny.
Tomorrow is promising a new sun…
There’s no point in holding on,
to a love that was never meant to be.
Our paths crossed for a reason,
and I’ll be forever grateful for our season.
We where granted the most precious gift,
a chance to love…
even though not for long.
I’ll treasure our special love song,
as a beautiful memory ready to fly.
I’ve done my time…
no more tears,
I shall not cry.
With these words I’ll set you free,
making space for the new to enter my life.
Our love was never meant to be.
I’m on my way to distant shores,
my special someone is waiting for me…

A very striking version of "it's better to have loved and lost...." Some very good point, and a sense of solution. It's tough to persevere after losing a relationship that is powerful and touching. Unfortunately sometimes when love ends we are so wrapped up in the horror of it's ending to reflect positively on the wonder it once was.
"I’ll be forever grateful for our season"
Relationships sometimes are like seasons. Some are winter and dead. Some are autumn with a beauty in their ending. Others are life long summers of living. Others are innocent births of the emotion. Hard to know what season you will feel this was in the future, but indeed a summer is waiting for you.
BRAVO!
