HAPPY BIRTHDAY SIS KADIAN

Months ago i thought of this day,
to wish you Happy Birthday would i be able to say,
would i be alive, to be far or near,
would i be busy or even have the time to spare?
making excuses saying i forgot,
saying i was going to call, and then would not,

climbing my thoughts, ploughing thru my mind,
asking God what i should give, pleading for a sign,
shifting from this, fooling around with that,
she doesn't like pets no dogs, birds or cats,

i could buy a very shiny thing,
but we're apostolic...we don't wear bling,
take down the stars and put them in a cloudy quiver,
but on such short notice, i don't think i can deliver,

many things i can do, many things i can show
big dreams... for an ordinary joe,
who knows the value, who knows the price,
giving something good, would be nice,

So without any more fuss, no further ado,
better for me to tell you how much i appreciate you,
no borrowed lines, no stolen rhymes,
simply wishing that today u had a great time.

Of course this is your day, no tears,no laments,
i hope you enjoyed this day, even if you had to finish that assignment,
a grey cloud looms, of loved ones gone,
today, birthday wishes will shine to you from dust till dawn,

hope you didn't loose your cool, or even your temper,
and even if u had a rough time, your spirit it didn't damper,
remember you are still a princess, you still have a crown,
so rule the day with great smiles, laughter, and not a frown,

as you grow with age, in virtue and beauty,
even if it seems hard, keep on doing your duty,
So remember the Lord, in him shine and be radiant,
I wish you a Happy Birthday Princess Kadian.
