A fish could love a bird
but where would they live
in neither sea
nor land
time is all I can give
to lie beneath the surface
and look upon your face
its torture
its pain
please death bare
me grace
for I am bound to you
and you are bound to me
but cruel fate
hath slapped us one
for you are from the air and I the sea
to you I go now
I will follow my heart
leave my family
leave my friends
from the sea I depart
my spirit ascends to you
to forever hold your embrace
I see your wings cut
your body slewn
to your side I race
fate hath been cruel again
for you are taken from me
I watch
my heart bleeds
as you are transformed a mermaid in the sea.

A poignant story, very tragic. The story told kept me interested from start to end, and the ideas explored were quite enjoyable to read. Well done. |
