Move On

Contributed by rawjer on Friday, 22nd February 2008 @ 12:16:41 PM in AEST
Topic: SongLyrics

Its easier to stay right back
lay right back
and do nothing

Its easier to ignore the fact
swallow, contract
and move on

(goodbye so long, goodbye so long)
its hard to push limits
its hard to beg forgiveness

Its even harder to hold back
the tears that I cry each night
its even harder to react
overwhelmed in the fight
and all that Ive gone through decides
who or what Ive become
even when I fall, get up
dust yourself off and continue to fight
start tonight and move on

its easier to bleed right out
die right out
and be a failure

Its easier to hide the fact
that you lack
in every area

(goodbye so long, goodbye so long)
its hard to push limits
its hard to beg forgiveness

Its even harder to hold back
the tears that I cry each night
its even harder to react
overwhelmed in the fight
and all that Ive gone through decides
who or what Ive become
even when I fall, get up
dust yourself off and continue to fight
start tonight and move on

As I walk alone
your eyes piercing through
me like spears
I fight to breath
struggle and bleed
for you
only to understand
there's nothing more I can do
but move forward

Its even harder to hold back
the tears that I cry each night
its even harder to react
overwhelmed in the fight
and all that Ive gone through decides
who or what Ive become
even when I fall, get up
dust yourself off and continue to fight
start tonight and move on

Finally, something that i can relish.

One of the best pieces of work i have come across on this site full stop.

Great quality although, for me, maybe a different ending would have made it all the more stronger. But then is it were that easy, we'd all be doing it!!! haha

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
