Quest for a Dream

Contributed by UnknownLegend on Thursday, 21st February 2008 @ 11:18:57 PM in AEST
Topic: LoveRemembered

I close my eyes, and dare to dream
where things are what they never seem
to give oneself to fantasy
or eyes wide open, reality

I heard her voice again tonight
'twas in the breeze and out of sight
we talked too much, with nothing said
the moon, it's light, rests on my bed

Without yet meeting, how can it be
to want someone I've yet to see
in my small mind, the thoughts unite
I close my eyes ... my spirit takes flight

Her naked body I reach to touch
to feel her beauty, I ask too much
To have her breasts rest soft on mine
to deep inside, my claim with time

The moon now shimmers, in it's bright light
our beings collide, we reach new heights
beyond the pleasure, before the sun
our bodies meld, our souls now one.

Time passed too soon, the light to see
my love in her ............ her heart in me.
so quickly the time , what gives the right
for dreams to end, no love requite

So sure the dream, erotic the night
yet do I ponder, why my spirit did fight
for dreams can come true but, fantasies fail
as a ship on the ocean, your visions must sail

My eyes still closed, so near she seems
inside her still, relive a dream
we try to talk , no words are said
gone with the night ........all dreams must end.

Thinking behind, was it the time
looking for reasons, hoping to find
Was it all wrong or was it the fear
from my open eye ....... falls a small, wondering tear

One of the better bodies of work i have come across here, enjoyable.

However there were times that it felt like you were straining to meet the rythm. I would have also liked to see a stronger erotic element here. You started but let it fade away.

But all in all, quite good
