~When I think of roses~

Contributed by shelby on Thursday, 21st February 2008 @ 09:33:08 AM in AEST
Topic: goodbyepoetry

When I think of roses my friend,
My thoughts will be of you.
When I see a paper heart,
your memory will shine through.

We speak of love often.
In this life we live each day.
You always brought that love alive
through sweet words each and every way.

When I hear sweet music
my thoughts will linger on,
holding tight near my heart
every little song.

You were always a dear friend to me.
Always knew the right thing to say.
My heart sits in chest heavy
my friend I’m missing you today.

There will be a void
now that you are gone.
I will celebrate the man I knew
and keep alive the songs of love.

Bruce,
I only wish I had that moment to say farewell my friend. I as many here will miss you deeply.
You with the heart and pen so full of such beauty about love and how to spend our lives loving.
That is a treasure you left with not only me but everyone who came to know and love you my friend.

until we meet again.................

Michelle

Thank you, Michelle, for writing this beautiful and touching poem for Bruce. I will always remember him as the Prince Of Romance.
His passing is a great loss to all.
Keep well. I'll send you the answers to your questions later in a message.
Love always,
Jenni_K
