Flawless, Fake

inversion, duplex, disjoined of soul
abstract interconnecting branches
without correlation.
absence of Esprit
gone in the wind
esteemed fiends in holy light.
ease into the challenge
fall to the sky
all reality is to be fake
wake up and taste the nihility
unhinged doors crash upon invalid possibilites
marred is the crying stoic
from cliche' to classic
hungry as anorexia
feeding from the lime light
stitching mouths shut with the black thread of a lie
imploring, beseeching, pleading, begging.
broken heart mended with the help of a hammer.
burning in the water, drowning within flame.
extirpated by the thought of creation.
nullified, apathetic, line, curve.
you can only close your eyes to see,
emotions as bright as shades.
take your time in this blur

where as large, complicated words are nice, simplicity is key.
remember, poetry is the attempt at finding the readers emotion. You want to find familiarity in the reader. It's like math in a way...take the complicated form and simplify it until you find its core.
It's the core that latches on to people and draws them in.
Big words get in the way of that...too bad really...
I like big words. |
