All it takes to be happy is you
Instinctively you know when I need you
That's why you come to me when I'm down
I wish you could always be around
I want you eternally as mine
You're what makes the stars in my eyes shine
You'll always be my summer rain
Whatever I need to ease the pain
Darling would you lay me down
Don't you think it's funny how we found
Everything we're living for
In someone who loved somebody else
Baby you're a poet's lover
So don't be ashamed to take cover
The little things are what I'll never forget
The things that will remain between you and me
I love the way you always know how I feel
And the way you somehow give me what I need
I'll always be your sweet surprise
You know the one with the starry eyes
Sometimes out of nowhere I feel my heart fall
I can't deny that it feels purely divine
I just wish you'd think of me a little more
'Cause I need to know everything will be fine
The love we share is more than anyone could know
Even the air we breathe, it makes me crave you more
In my mind I see a memory of a girl
Who held your hand but thought she could never want you
Well just look how far we've come!
Darling would you lay me down
