The soul abides in the heart of flesh
Body, soul and mind
Service to self is all it possess
Destruction of all other kind

Mutilation of all that is good in this world
all starts with one little step
No heart
No soul
No respect
Nothing solid with any depth

As I cry out to you
my hands in the air
hear my pain
see my tears
carry my despair
Take my hand as we search for more out there
Where stupidity and immorality reigns

Brillant. I liked this. It was raw and I felt some kind of anger behind your words.

Take care
Christina

"Take my hand as we search for more ..."

That line really affected me. The piece, as a whole was moving
but that line ... wow. There is hope inside discouragement; beauty
inside of plain; enjoyment within discomfort. Yes, all these
opposing thoughts somehow live inside each other's homes and find
a way. The only sadness lies in apathy. We live, as we must. As we
always will. To search until we find what it is we thought we were
looking for. And then ... search again.

I love the mental exercise this poem incites. Bravo poet!!
