I am memory

I am exquisite. . .
freely resembling
a time-shaped memory,
floating above itself
suspended,
relaxed in an orbit
of various shades of peace.
reaching &
always turning,
yes & trying,
as if from odd angles. . .
all the better
just to see.
to recognize itself
along alluring
shores & seas
of retrospective reflection,
& remembrance
of trapeze. . .
I am smiling,
now.
within a moment
content, am I, to be.
outside the latest circumstance
beyond consequence
& deed.
my lost concern complete.
I am untamed. . .
acceptance.
riding out perplexity.
I am riddle. . .
suffocating
as my likeness
strains to breathe.
I am solitary. . .
my own friend
if I need to be.
I am tendency. . .
at best,
or atleast
I tend to be.
I am charade'. . .
if possible
clever pretending.
expectancy.
I plant the rarest seed
& harvest as I bleed.
I am spectrum
in its' trueness.
I am manifest. . .
a prism spinning.
masking
our absurdities.
I am promise. . .
gracious mending of
delights' proclivity.
an ever present vigile
over quiet subtlety.
existing. . .
I am privation. . .
outside of my own need.
behold me in my trappings.
I am born to please.
I am legend. . .
growing,
negating all disease.
witness my expansion.
hesitation by degree.
a mirror for the masses.
quaint maze of certainty.
believers always welcomed.
yes, nay sayers too.
behold, the disbelief. . .
I am charmed.
endlessly charming.
still backwards. . .
I am recluse. . .
no one left
to fill a need.
I am revealed. . .
a spacious realm.
no boundaries to concede.
I am pardon. I am plea.
I am yet a
sometimes thought. . .
a whim.
a non-neccessity.
nothing left,
not even shadow
saved a memory of me.
I am obscurity. . .
I am sight. . .
somehow forgotton.
so unwilling am I to see. . .
the need
to be captivated,
struggles always
to be free. . .& yet
I am enticing. . .
substance
falling to its' knees.
I am free.
exquisitely.
resembling free. . .
indeed.
I am only illusion.
a mere memory
of me. . .

I will sink my teeth into this and comment further...but let me say just as I tell one poet that I have read the best poem of the night you post exactly that. Self examination with the understanding of I. Something I love, and have written about many times. This actually reminds me of one of my writes, only this is deeper and digs underneath layers I did not touch. As I said I will comment further once I have had a chance to really read and study this. It is fascinating! I am off to bed because I am sleepy as hell, but I could not go until I expressed that this BLEW ME AWAY! |

An illusion is still a memory. And too, after I type this, it will be a memory, even if you cannot access that memory. In a year or two, if you came back to read this, you'd say, oh yes, I remember Tim leaving this comment. They're all there, these memories. We just don't know how to access all of them.
Thank you for an incredible read. |
