I pray for your safety
I pray for your return
I pray for the day you come back to my life.
You touch my heart in so many ways
Even though we have been apart these 60 some days
My love is even stronger
And I know we will last even longer
You hold my heart near
Clearing away most of the fear
I know our love will last forever.
I pray for your safety
I pray for your return
I pray for the day you come back to my life.
Our lives are complete
So we will never have to compete
Our happiness is unending
So our lives will never need mending
You made my life whole
Yet the thought of you going into war has created a hole.
I pray for your safety
I pray for your return
I pray for the day you come back to my life.
I know you will do your best
To overcome the trial of this test
You are my best friend
And our happiness will last till the end.
