On whispered breath,on warming breeze
From within her heart she calls to me
As I wander her pathways and take in the air
Dewdrops from her foliage fall to my hair
Glistening tree ferns in a gully of green
Hold tiny trails of moisture, where winter has been ,
Sunlight sprays through her canopy of leaves
And creatures are stirring in the warmth that it weaves
I take in the scent of ghost gums and smile
These pleasure well known though it has been awhile
Lightly I step, with gentle ease I move on
As my thoughts are inspired by the birds' morn' song
I come to the bridge where now I will rest and
Give thanks to the sunlight and all it has blessed
