I walk alone

Contributed by UnknownLegend on Monday, 11th February 2008 @ 04:25:28 AM in AEST
Topic: spiritual

Sometime I walk alone it seems, if only in my mind
into the mist of total bliss where heaven does abide
I see the gates of glorious pearl and streets of finest gold
where life goes on forever and we never will grow old
to sing in voices of beauty light, in that angelic choir
in that bright land where saints abide our spirits never tire
My mansion does await, as those gone before me do
I cross that bar to heights I soar where eagles never flew
no sadness, sorrow, nor pain I feel, no burden will I bear
I'll walk those streets no toil or grief, forever without a care
but first, of all those gone before, it's Jesus I long to see
arms wide open and nail scared hands, he'll come to welcome me
til then I'll have to work and wait, my burdens still to bear
I'll live my life in Gods great light and the joy of constant prayer
For I never really am alone .........not even in my mind
the air I breath and all i see ........I know he's by my side
one day I hope to walk up there my loved ones I will see
my sins all paid, I'll flee the grave, He died for you and me.
