Free Me

Topic: DarkPoetry

October 1, 1974 that's the day my curse began
Now each day that pass I sink further in quick sand
There is no one here that can give me a helping hand
It's hot and I'm left without a fan
I'm up to my neck in *********
Constantly left out so I still feel like a misfit
My heart has been broken a time or two
Still feeling lonely and left without a clue
I no longer ask God the question why
I guess this is the way I'm suppose to die
With a mind in a state of confusion
Where my blackass steady being the one that's losing
I always stayed focused not needing a plan B
And now you can see what luck I have with me
Separated from my son and no woman of my own
No one to call collect on this pay phone
Even though I'm sinking I'm buring as well
That combination alone looks like I'm headed to hell
Sinking and burning nice and slow
That's the way my life goes
In many directions no constant flow
When will it end, no one knows

Keep asking. Stay receptive. Reject being the victim, through acceptance. Get well, you have a lot to offer as a writer.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
