The Other

Contributed by shelby on Friday, 1st February 2008 @ 09:30:42 AM in AEST
Topic: AngryPoetry

So you make your life revolved
around being the “other woman”.
No real thought to the hurting
or the destruction in which you cause.

Is it all fun and games?
A moment of truth or dare.
Caught up with your own self
no heed to feelings of others spared.

Thus another fact in this,
is when others seem to know.
Choose to sit it out on the fence
watching paths as they curve to and fro.

How does one sleep at night,
with a secret so great to keep?
Showing no self respect
or care for another’s needs.

It is stated that the karma rule
comes into play each day.
There is a result of every reaction
in cruel and heartless games you play.

Lay it out on your bed of petals,
the fragrance isn’t so sweet.
Soon it will turn to a patch of thorns
sticking you right where need be.
