What is it we are seeking, what knowledge must we know?
Why do some rocket forward, and some refuse to go?
Why are we seeing, all that we see,
how can we believe, what we believe to be?
Who set the standard that some aspire to,
and who really knows the one that is you?
The truth is obvious and surrounds us all,
ego hides it, and promotes its fall.
Thought and opinion we percieve as real,
while truth resides within our egotistical seal.
We have watched while religion, will kill in its name,
we have listened while preachers, created our shame.
Man judging man is the creator of hate,
acceptance is the love that cleans the slate.
With turmoil and thought, banished from within,
the soul is open, and truth will rush in.

| Great poem thats full of truth, there are some people on this site that could learn something from this one particulary about religion, so true are the issues in this poems and i agree completly with it, especially the religious ones, i made a post on a poem not long ago that made me sick, the poem was all about god and how we are all wrong for not believing and that we should all become litle christian puppets. i have no problem with religion until it causes problems and this poem points those problems out. good work |
