The Fight, The Struggle

Contributed by funnyface09 on Tuesday, 29th January 2008 @ 05:04:43 PM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

I never truly asked myself
The question of who am I exactly
I am lost in this wide sea
Not knowing how to swim
I felt so sure I am going to drown
I slipped further down into the water
I know for sure no one will ever save me
No strength to pull myself up to the surface
I know I am going to die
I have lived as an unknown
I am going to die as one too
Then someone caught hold of my hand
I turned and saw you
You struggled to pull me up
I felt a sudden inner strength inside of me
I have to win this
We are going to live
I am not going down without a fight
Love will not exist in this world
If people stop searching and fighting for it
I don’t want us to end
When we have not even begin
I don’t want to give up
When I have not even begin to search
I believe when you find the one
Just a look into their eyes
You will know is true
And the fight you’ve been fighting for
Will mean so very much more
