Sanity and sameness seem so far
Beyond the horizon,
Far from reason.
In my life, in every way
I understand less and less each day
Confusion and doubt make me grow
And like the flowing river flow.
Of the things I cannot explain,
My wisom comes in acceptance.
I know that life is not a game
But a warm, elusive presence.

The older you get the harder things are to understand ... the wrongs of the world we see as a child are matterless but when we have grown they effect us more in our heart and mind .
good write hun .

i think its a myth that wisdom comes with being older. some times it just comes from experiences we go through. which in themselves vary from each person to how old you are when someting happens.
ive known some older people than me that just havent had a clue...
this poem speaks maturity and wisdom. i like its flow and that it is pretty short ...
thanks for sharing
