My Eyes Burn Like A Thousand Stars

Topic: DarkPoetry

My eyes burn like a thousand stars
Without you in my arms
And these tears don't fall into empty hands
They fall upon my heart

The days stay black the nights more darker
Your the victim of your own murder
And i could only stand and watch you take that glass against your wrist
While you showered me with your bloody kiss

Slicing open your tender veins
I watch our romance bleed away
Its ok you whisper, but i can barely move
Why couldnt i go instead of you

Im drenched in your crimson blood

What i gave you just wasnt enough
Theres a bruise beating on my heart forevermore
Whilst yours is barely beating on my floor
YOu took your life, and my heart with it
But its ok angel, i'll be with you soon
Give me your razorblade, i'll die in this room with you

For better or worse i took your hand
I'll take a pledge the whitecoats wont understand
I'll take this knife and slash my skin
Then our fairytale will finally begin

well written poem, a very touchy subject, i have always wondered do you have to be brave enough to kill yourself or do you have to be weak enough to take the easy way out, or is it a strange mix of both? anyway i work for a charity that deals with youth suicide prevention in my contry (new zealand) and i have lost people to it as well so i know this subject well

all in all good poem
