Pulsing, throbbing, solid and brisk.
Sodden and slick, violently thrashing.
Can’t escape these cruel tremors.
Satiate this famine, still never satisfied.
Relentlessly follows in my wake.
A feverish storm, ominous clouds hover above.
Killing everything within me.
Leaving me to starve.
Fearful of those waves.
Unruly as the wind.
Crying out in frustration
Can I trust myself?
Temporarily dissipates.
Free from its grasp for now.
Though this cannot last.
When it comes calling again…
Once, twice, ad infinitum!
I know I won’t be ready.

It was nice to see someone using creative wording for once. :)
Please, never be afraid of using a strong vocabulary. I grow tired of people who use the same words over and over. I just wish they wouldn't right poetry if they are going to waist their time on the simple words. Unless they are speaking from their souls. |
