Today I saw a child, bright eyed and a smile with no measure.
Running with wild abondon and uncritical pleasure.
My lips grew tight as I felt my heart sink.
That could have been you I started to think.
You were only here three months, two weeks and a day.
You had only just arrived before you went away.
I think I hear you sometimes in a playful giggle or a blissful squeal.
Then I have to catch myself and return to what is real.
I am saddened that our company you had to part.
But for me your still here, just playing and hiding in my heart.
