I wait silently on the branch of reason,
Examining leaves in my eagerness,
Noting the veins that stretch from the stem;
The possibilities are endless for them.
I have all the time in the world to think,
So I stir the clouds to a hurricane,
Noting the stillness in the eye of the storm -
A subtle allusion in hidden form.
I swing down from the omen tree
With a leaf in my pocket as a reminder;
There is no storm at the stem, after all
Only the possibilities I faintly recall.
