Portrait of a Friendship

Portrait of a Friendship

Sometime i often wonder, How we got this far
was it written in the heavens, or on some lowly star
was it know at the creation, the beginning of Gods' time
to be held in gentle silence, 'til inspired by this rhyme
no one can know the future, of who their friends will be
no one can pick the time, it be revealed to thee
The Almighty in His wisdom, chose our paths to cross
of what we shared and times we cared, to end would be great loss
we shared each others problems, exposed our inner fears
with patience ever listened, we cried each others tears
we have given to ourselves, what no one else can see
what's deep inside of you, what's deep inside of me
Friendship be a blessing, no one should put assunder
why times they're prone to failure, this to I often wonder
but then I think , what's now is now and what can ever be
forget the past and it will last , thru all eternity
