If time stood still,
would those two hearts still beat?
As if the wind still caressed,
the branches and the leaves?
If still quieted,
the slender green blades,
would blood continue pumping,
through the lovers’ veins?
If the city’s song,
soon faded and died,
Would the two be caught in,
each other’s longing eyes?
Too caught to see that,
all around had ceased,
Time will never stop those hearts,
In their lover’s reprieve
