the angel and the devil sleep together on my shoulder

the angel and the devil sleep together on my shoulder
and i try to grab the angel, only just to hold her
and she shuns me away, and flies to where I cant see
Because she knows the devil's got a hold on me
With twisting thoughts and bruised memories
I try to figure out whats wrong with me
I lean in to whisper, but my ears only bleed
Because theres no goodness inside of me
He took it away
The devil on my shoulder
He turns my hands to razorblades
When i go to touch her
And my blood turns to ash
When I think of love
My little angel's leaving
She has just had enough
I cant turn right or sleep through the night
Without this voice thumping against my head
He'll lead me to a straightjacket
And a special hospital bed
With cuts on my arms
And little pentagram scars
A voice i dont regonize
A reflection with dark, desolate eyes
Wheres my angel when I need her most
She only flew away
She'll never win the battle with me
I guess I was just born this way..
