My heart was kept
Hidden on a shelf,
In a box,
Behind locks and bolts.
You did this out of fear.
Afraid that someone would take it from you;
That it would be lost to another.
So very far did you place it,
That in time,
Even you forgot where it was!
You did not know then,
That this item you treasured
Would be lost of your own accord.

Strong write, well done.
It is hard to struggle with taking the wall down at times isn't it? Enjoyed this read. |

Firstly, that' a bad-ass title. ^_^ As I was scrolling through I was like, "Hold up... what?" Which then of course made me click on it. And then, the subject... it touches on very sensitive wires inside me that I haven't thought of in a long time. This is a very provocative, powerful write. Good job. I love the simplicity particularly. |
