A Paper Boat

on a rainy day
sitting on the steps of your door
if you ever watched rain water
stream by your feet;
sailed a paper boat in it,
know that-
that piece of paper
that shred of my chest
would rock and sway
trepidatiously chart its way.
Sadly, as is wont
the boat would soak
wreck and melt in course.
Its fate never meets the port.
O,How I love that boat!
O,How it breaks the soul!
