I’m here thinking of my life
How my life was played
Out
Did I sell it for riches of
Green back and gold
For diamonds that sparkle’s
And blind my eyes,
Just to say, I have all these
Riches
To satisfy my neighbors approval
Do my expectations leave a bit
To be desired?
Oh’ no, I am just old me cannot
Change..
The diamonds I have is few and
Gold is fewer
Keep it hiding away so the thieves
Want slay for such cheap riches
I am just that old plain Jane, tryin
To be hidden
Poor the bone trying to swim
Above water..

no.. don't take it the wrong way, i just don't understand what you were feeling when you wrote this... just a write?.. just wondering what was the cause, the feeling, the emotion that you would write this piece.. usually i can read into what the writer possibly felt, and can take that feeling and determine what lies behind the poetry they wrote.. too analytical huh? |
